The passing of the years manifests itself in the facial skin through expression lines, wrinkles, and a certain degree of sagging. Although we cannot stop time, we can take measures to slow it down through individualized medical-aesthetic treatments.
Wrinkles inevitably affect everyone. However, some people develop more marked wrinkles or folds early on. This depends on genetic and environmental factors and the care and habits we adopt for our skin.
Why and How Do We Age?
Fine wrinkles oriented in one direction appear at the beginning of the aging process. These types of wrinkles are usually found in areas of greater movement or expression, where repetitive gestures occur, or where there is greater muscle activity. For example, when you tend to frown or laugh, the first wrinkles appear around the eyes, first intermittently and then permanently.
The areas that are “marked” most frequently and are the reason for consultation are usually those that appear on the forehead, between the eyebrows (between the eyebrows), around the frown eyes (crow’s feet), around the lips (code of bars), on both sides, at the corner of the mouth (marionette lines) extending from the mouth to the chin and on the chin. With time, wrinkle become deeper, intersect with each other, and become continuously marked.
Here at Aroraesthetics, we offer different treatments that naturally prevent the passage of time. When the wrinkles are already more marked, these state-of-the-art procedures improve and correct the furrow and its appearance. These procedures are effective and safe, allowing us to achieve natural and long-lasting results.
Treatments to reduce and eliminate both “dynamic” and “static” wrinkles.
The first step we take before prescribing one treatment or another is to study each patient, analyzing their structure, muscles, and facial movements to determine the main reasons for wrinkle on each face. We know that in this area, we only find, fundamentally, skin and fine muscles under it, and there is no fatty tissue. For this reason, to control and attenuate wrinkle, we must soften movement and thus be able to control the wrinkles produced by it. They are known as “dynamic” wrinkles: “crow’s feet” and “between the eyebrows”.
On the other hand, there are wrinkles or “static” lines that are produced by the loss of collagen and elasticity and appear inevitably over the years.
Regarding treating wrinkles on the upper facial part, as it is a complete unit, it must be treated to achieve a natural, beautiful, and harmonious result. With current treatments, our objectives are to correct and erase existing wrinkle and prevent existing ones from becoming deeper and increasing in length. We can encounter different situations:
- Patients with fine wrinkles and expression lines: in these cases, only the application of botulinum toxin type A, also known as “Botox” , will be necessary. We will apply the exact dose to the necessary points to attenuate and make wrinkles disappear without changing the patient’s expression or leaving a “frozen” or overtreated face. Only the patient is the one who should know that the treatment has been performed, showing a “better face” with subtle changes and always respecting each person’s original expression. We can also open the aperture of the eye, along with lifting the eyebrow’s tail, reducing the tired appearance caused by the drooping of the upper eyelid fold. We often recommend medical grade skin care reinforcement, along with hyaluronic acid filler like Juvederm to lift and contour the area and prevent the appearance of subsequent wrinkles.
- Patients with marked wrinkles: we will combine Botox Juvederm, a hyaluronic acid filler and medical grade skin care in these cases. A personalized and customized treatment for each expression line or wrinkle, considering its characteristics and skin quality, is a hallmark of aroraesthetics. Starting treatment before the wrinkle become permanently marked and deeper is advisable. Consult with aroraesthetics and stop the passage of time on your skin.
